Self-Esteem, Study Habits and Academic Performance among University Students

Purpose: This study intended to investigate the relationship between self-esteem and habits on academic performance of students in universities.
 Methodology: The adopted a desktop methodology. Desk research refers secondary data or that which can be collected without fieldwork. is basically involved collecting from existing resources hence it often considered low cost technique as compared field research, main executive’s time, telephone charges directories. Thus, relied already published studies, reports statistics. was easily accessed through online journals library.
 Findings: findings revealed existence contextual methodological gap relating self- esteem university students. Preliminary empirical review found does not account for high performance, most reported enjoying good level self-esteem, regardless their grades. However, same true habits, are tied shown by our results prior research. Hence better expected if techniques improve.
 Unique Contribution Theory, Practice Policy: Social Learning Cognitive Evaluation theories may used anchor future studies In terms improvement thereof an urgent matter nearly all claim would appropriate consider other variables research.
